Te Toiotua Workshop | Introduction to 3D Scanning 3D Scanning is a way of taking a digital representation of a physical object. By digitising this object, you can reverse engineer, redesign or reproduce this item using cad programmes and 3D printers.

Whether your object is a koauau, a figurine, or any other taonga, taking a 3D scan will help you to create a digital representation that you can use for many applications including objects for virtual or augmented reality programs.

Come to this workshop to learn about 3D Scanning using this high quality specialised equipment and gain access to this piece of technology within the lab at a later stage.

Who should attend: Anyone including Kaimahi, Kaiako, Tauira, Ahikōmako and Community members.

Requirements: Bring your own laptop or borrow a laptop from the lab for the exercise part of the session.  

Please register your interest to attend as spaces and loan equipment are limited.
