Te Toiotua Workshop | Building your first website with WordPress Would you like to know how to build a website for your business, hobby, or personal blog? Perhaps you are considering working as a web designer or an online affiliate marketer? If so, this event is for you.


Join us at this free 2-hour workshop to learn how to build your first website using totally free tools. You will learn not only how to build a website using WordPress, but where to get free and cheap domains and hosting.


WordPress is the world’s leading content management system (CMS), which powers almost a third of the world’s websites. It is so popular because its free, easy-to-use, and open source. It can easily be extended with extra features through both free and paid plugins. You can connect it to many other online systems through integration plugins or its API.


By attending this introductory workshop, you will learn what goes into creating a website by building your own project. With the free domain and hosting, you can continue building your site post event. You will also be able to attend more advanced workshops at a later stage.


Who should attend:

Any adult over 18+ including kaimahi, kaiako, tauira, Ahikōmako and community members.



Requirements:

Bring your own laptop or book a pc for the exercise part of the session.

Please register to attend as spaces and loan equipment are limited. Email Leon if you need to book a laptop or pc.
