3D Scanning is a way of taking a digital representation of a physical object. By digitising this object, you can reverse engineer, redesign or reproduce this item using cad programmes and 3D printers.
Whether your object is a koauau, a figurine, or any other taonga, taking a 3D scan will help you to create a digital representation that you can use for many applications including objects for virtual or augmented reality programs.
Come to this workshop to learn about 3D Scanning using this high quality specialised equipment and gain access to this piece of technology within the lab at a later stage.
Who should attend: Anyone including Kaimahi, Kaiako, Tauira, Ahikōmako and Community members.
